# Annotations

Pin notes on a device's faces or 3D model, mark things as wrong, and let your agent fix and resolve them.

## Pinning a note

In the modeler you can annotate the device itself:

- **Pin a note** or **Box a note** on a face, in the Faces and ports step.
- **Pin a note on the model** in the 3D view. Where the surface is flat, the pin is placed on that face in millimetres.
- **Mark as wrong** on any port, zone, LED or measurement, then say what's wrong, e.g. "the HDMI port is 5 mm further right".

The Annotations card lists open and resolved notes with their replies. Clicking one takes you to it.

## What your agent does with them

Your agent sees how many issues are open in every answer. Its face drawings show each note as a numbered pin or box, in the right place. For each issue it:

1. fixes it with the modeler's commands;
2. resolves it with a note saying exactly what it changed.

If a correction doesn't make sense, it replies and asks you instead of guessing. When it needs a number it can't read from your photos, it pins a **measure this** note where it needs the measurement, and you answer with a reply.

Changes show up live in your open browsers.

## Privacy

Annotations are text and positions only; your photos stay on your devices. They're private to you and your agent. If you mark one as public, it's published with the device's next revision as a note on its catalog page.

Annotations stay with the device across revisions, so an issue raised on revision 1 can be fixed in revision 2.
